i just watched it and just find her annoying and useless. for one thing, she's always been a burden in battle but she insists to go into any battles she knows. for other thing, her "cry for enemies" bs just a whole another level of annoying.

That just means she's the most decent human there is, she cared for everyone unlike us not knowing that we live in a meritocracy.

Nami was only a bitch at the very beginning of the show and it was due to her past experiences with people but after seeing luffy trusting her again after she fucked up big time she came to her senses and become one of the best characters in the show

I don't hate her and she's not useless as people claim but think about it, in every fight she always afraid to kill and injure and cause her team to injure. If you're not prepare to fight, is it better to stay behind than go out there? She know she's weak but try to get in the way of other, if you lack resolved to fight or kill then stay in the back!! You're more useful that way. That's why some people hate her. She lack resolved to kill especially when enemies is in the form of human, she's always afraid of harming them even though the enemies tried to killed her friends.

She is definitely better than Sakura, I think I like Nami more than Orihime but Nami got her annoying moments too, anyway Orihime is just kinda mid for me, she is the too sweet kinda annoying female character

I feel like she could've tried to abuse her situation a bit more like, "How can you guarantee you won't kill my friends?" or "If you don't kill my friends now, why should I join you knowing you can still kill them in the future?"

While these questions may not work and either way, it would be better to have her friends live longer now so they can get stronger later, I would've appreciated the author to show that she can think for herself in these kind of ways

Okay I remember now. When I said I would appreciate if the author could show that she can think for herself, I was referring to how she should realize the Ulquirroa obviously needs to take her alive. Even if he says not to say anything except “yes”, she should know he can’t kill her no matter what. So in this way, maybe there’s more she could have done instead of taking the typical submissive heroine role we’ve seen countless times of being abducted

Man, I could write an essay on the dynamics of Ichigo and Orihime's relationship, their character development and how Ulquiorra contributed to it after rewatching and rereading this series so many times.
It is always just so interesting to watch the growth that happens between Ichigo and Orihime throughout this arc compared to the end of the manga. Tite Kubo is seriously such a legend. He writes his characters with such depth. I've gotten so attached and probably will never get over Bleach. Been such a big fan for 12 years now.
It's such a shame that some of these new viewers are more caught up with flashing fighting scenes and downplaying (well, more like straight up disrespecting) Orihime rather than thoroughly analyzing her character. They are missing the whole point.

Even tho I am a new bleach watcher, I still get it what you are saying and I feel the same way. People really should understand what is actually going on here.
